In June , 2006, my wife , Kathy, left her job as a hairstylist to have her left knee replaced. Needless to say, this was our worst move ever.... Seven months later I was able to bring my wife home. Due to the super bug of infections, MRSA, she is now confined to a power wheelchair. In the hospital Kathy went through kidney failure, heart problems, bleeding ulcers, and rampant infections. Kathy had 10 operations and was in intensive care 5 times. Because of diabetes, her right leg and foot is also damaged. We are thankful for her wheelchair, but are still ramping it into our old Chrysler Voyager minivan. Without a knee, her left leg must be kept straight in front, thus access to any vehicle is a chore! As of now , Kathy slideboards to and from our vehicle. We sold our home and our second vehicle and live in a ground level apartment. I am a custodian for our local school district and Kathy is on disability. A newer , handicap accessible van with a lowered floor and ramp would be a blessing! We have already begun trips to the Mayo Clinic as Kathy will be having another operation soon. We appreciate all prayers and any leads or help for a van.....Thank you all and God Bless!!
